re-order Project

The Project

Depression is a common and significant disorder affecting 750,000 Australians each year. Most treatment for depression is currently provided by GPs. A review of research undertaken locally and overseas shows that newer approaches to depression care have not delivered major benefits to patients. The re-order project aims to fill some major gaps in our understanding by re-examining the way in which people experiencing depression are cared for in the community. We propose that it is time to step back and reflect upon the evidence and use this information to move forward to a new approach.
